SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS:

Schedule Builder runs on Microsoft Windows(TM) operating systems.  It is compatible with Windows XP, Windows 2000, NT 4.x, and Windows ME and Windows 98 2nd Edition.  Any machine that efficiently runs one of these operating systems will run Schedule Builder, but a 2.0 GHz processor and 512 Mb ram is recommended simply for speed in larger (100+ employees per group) applications.

Schedule Builder requires a minimum 800 x 600 resolution display and 16 million color setting, a 1024 x 768 resolution display is better, a 1280 x 1024 resolution or higher display is preferable.

Schedule Builder can be run stand alone on a single PC or laptop, or across a network of compatible Windows(TM) machines.

NETWORK INSTALLATIONS:

  • Use the setup program to install your Schedule Builder program and all data files into a shared folder anywhere on your network.  Usually you can then simply map shortcuts to the program files from any and all PCs on the network from which you intend to access the system.  A Client Only install option found in the setup utility will add any necessary files to a PC that isn't already capable of accessing the system.

  • There are no licensing issues; you are free to run Schedule Builder from every PC on your network without incurring any additional license costs.

  • Whenever you have reason  to update your Schedule Builder programs you can simply replace the executable files in the shared folder and every user is effectively updated.

  • Schedule Builder multi-user applications have been successfully operated on mixed networks including and from PCs running Windows 98 2nd Edition, NT 4.x, Windows 2000 and Windows XP.  Because some permission settings under the control of your network administrator can interfere with operation, we cannot guarantee it will work on your particular network, but it is a simple matter to use our evaluation package to set it up on yours, try it and find out.

DATABASE:  Schedule Builder stores its data in a proprietary file format but mirrors that which is useful to an ODBC compliant JET 4 public database from which users can pull to create custom reports or pass schedules to external systems.
